Development Officer, Association for Energy Affordability
Mike joined the ESW Board of Directors in May 2014. As a nonprofit executive and consultant, he has had over 30 years of experience in program design, financial planning and fund development for a wide range of mission-driven organizations.
Mike is presently Development Officer at the Association for Energy Affordability (AEA), a leading residential energy efficiency service and training provider based in New York, California and Chicago committed to building clean energy futures. In this capacity, he is responsible for AEA business, program and resource development
In conjunction with a US Department of Labor Grant, Mike created and led a virtual business community for over sixty-five New York energy efficiency professionals and contractors, green building developers and managers, manufacturers and suppliers of green technology and products as well as organizations involved in renewable energy, recycling and green workforce development.
He is also the founder of PROS, a unique public/private venture designed to retool downsized professionals and workers to prepare them for re-entry into the workplace after the horrific events of 9/11 and the co-founder of STRIVE, an internationally replicated program for structurally-unemployed young adults
A graduate of Stanford, Mike served five years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Associate Director and Peace Corps Fellow in Liberia, Ghana, Washington and Sierra Leone.
